Corporate responsibly refers to the demand for more accountability to society. Transparency is a fairly new model in which and organization has to show, or make available its practices. Some examples are cigarette and how they must now create PSAs (public service announcements) or commercials on the dangers of smoking. Another is the Enron scandals in which the company hid the information from the public. Because corporations have so much influence on the way we conduct our life, they are being held accountable for portraying accurate information and risks and benefits of their practice (or what they produce).
